MindPartner and AdSA: A Partnership that Makes Mental Health a Priority

In 2023, MindPartner, based in Braga, and Águas de Santo André (AdSA), on the Alentejo Coast, began a collaboration dedicated to the promotion of mental health in the business context. Two years later, in 2025, this partnership was renewed with an even more robust commitment: three years of joint work focused on the psychological well-being of AdSA employees.

To Águas de Santo André

AdSA is a company of the Águas de Portugal Group, responsible for the management and operation of the Santo André system. Its mission includes ensuring the supply of drinking water, as well as the collection and treatment of wastewater, in addition to responding to the needs of the industries located in the Sines Industrial and Logistics Zone (ZILS). With a fundamental role for the economic and environmental development of the region, AdSA also assumes the social responsibility of caring for the well-being of its teams.

Despite the geographical distance, the proximity has been constant. The MindPartner team provides online psychological counseling, ensuring accessibility to all workers, and is present on the ground with kick-offs, sharing sessions, and workshops that strengthen the culture of care and support.

According to Telma Silva, from the AdSA Business Sustainability System, “our company was motivated to invest in the area of mental health due to the awareness of the importance of the physical and emotional well-being of its workers, recognizing a direct relationship between this area and personal and professional development”.

Before the partnership, the company faced “difficulties in accessing mental health professionals and associated costs”. Today, the reality is different: “it is easier to address issues related to mental health”, explains Telma, stressing the positive impact of collaboration.

Experience with MindPartner

“The reported experiences have been very positive, especially in terms of accessibility to health professionals and their involvement throughout our partnership”, Telma highlights. The services that stood out the most were Mental Health Screenings, online consultations, and Reminders, which help employees stay focused on self-care.

Telma also reinforces the recommendation for other companies: “The team is young and motivating, always ready to help, at the distance of a message or phone call. We advise companies to develop a partnership in the area of Mental Health with MindPartner”.

Since the beginning of this collaboration, MindPartner has implemented mental health screenings, awareness sessions for team leaders, and workshops. In 2025, both entities made a commitment until 2028, reinforcing their intention to expand online services, maintain periodic in-person visits, and create new prevention and intervention programs. This three-year plan consolidates a shared vision: to ensure that mental health is an integral part of the organizational culture and of the company's future.

This partnership is an example of how technology and dedication can overcome geographical barriers, bringing psychological support from Braga to Alentejo and promoting mental health in the workplace in a sustainable way.
